"A Class Act" - Featuring MBAA class students of Jason Mayr

A Class Act will showcase the art work of the Monday morning painting class students of Jason Mayr. The show will feature the variety of styles and subjects that interest the students. As an instructor I try to assist the painters on their own path rather than giving them a particular way or thing to paint. Many talented painters displaying their own voice is what you will find at this show. I would like to challenge people to come see the show and not fall in love with at least one piece. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.

We are pleased to say that Jason has been asked to be the Featured Demonstrator for the Morro Bay Art Association for the May meeting. This demonstration will take place from 7pm - 9am and it fills quite quickly, so arrive a little early to get a great seat!

This is the second time Jason has had a piece juried into this show. We are pleased to say that his painting titled "That Old Barn" has been accepted into this year's show. You'll also notice another painting "Laguna Lake " which is featured in their window representing the Brushstrokes show. This is a wonderful show that takes place at the San Juan Capistrano Mission put on by the Villas & Verandas Fine Art Gallery. This show celebrates California in landscapes, mission paintings and much more. We are happy to say that Jason once again will be participating in this show with a beautiful landscape titled "Mission SJC Fountain" (image is on our works page). Twenty percent of the sales proceeds go to the beautiful Mission San Juan Capistrano for preservation.
